Hard to believe we have been in for just over 2 weeks! Still so much to do but we are soooo enjoying this very big blessing of a house! The first week I was in serious pain. Knees killing me with so much extra walking in all this space :) The kids are all sleeping much better and Avery is back to 2-3 hr naps!! They are worn out :) Regular life must go on and keeping what is unpacked and orgnized in order leaves little time for getting the rest of the stuff in garage organized.
Talked with dad Ficek on Monnday he said they spent a week with Ted and Rachel and no mention of the birthday party. He did say there was a dedication for Asher. I was frantically getting dinner ready and did not ask him if they wwent. Wondering if they went?? Said they are now with Lance and Julie indefinitly.
Todays goal is making bookshelves out of boxes for my room. will see how far I get:)

WOW! 2 weeks in the new house! I know y'all are loving every minute!
I am sure you read my blog, to see the Parents did not stay for the dedication. They were with us for over 20 something days BUT could not be with Lance, Julie, Ted and I and the kids for that Sunday. odd. Ted took it hard. Parents say Ted did not really want them there. But so not true, Ted wanted them there and almost begged at one point. They said we where guilting them into staying and that was the cherry on top for Ted. He said he would not want them hear when they "so much" don't want to be here for it. SAD! so very they said they had to act like this. But it happened and you are right... Lance and Julie came for the Ficek family. And we thanked them greatly.
So how did the bookshelves turn out?

After talking with them Roy and I really think that they believe we siblings are jealous of their time. When events occur they are going to take the all or nothing approach so we dont get jealous of each other. Roy has said this befor and with the no mention of the weekend activies (being at the bday party) we are convinced this is the case. So sad. When they left this summer Roy thought it was probably because they were not there for Ashers birthand so to be fair they didnt want to be there for Levis. Recent actions and conversations are confirming Roys thoughts which I thought at the time were crazy! He is really intuitive about these types of things. I love you all and because of Christ can say I would never be jealous of you (maybe a little that the other 2 Ficeks live relativly close and can see each other more) :)
Book shelves are great at least for a temp solution.
